Spring and Summer are the best times to hydromulch your yard. 

I recommend Bermuda grass for this area. 

Fall is the best time to plant trees and shrubs. Roots tend to establish better when they're not battling the spring and summer heat we tend to get in West Texas. 

Late August or early September is the best time to pre-emerge your yard for those pesky winter weeds. Try to beat the rain we get over Labor Day! If you are an over achiever, you can pre-emerge in June.
